When more than one parent gets the email

Schools and camps can list more than one parent or guardian email on a student (for example Parent 1 and Parent 2). AllergyAIDE may contact all of those addresses for the same action plan request.

Only one household response can complete that request.

The first parent who finishes a decisive response “wins” the request. A decisive response includes:

  • Starting the plan path (create or link a profile and continue), or
  • Choosing No action plan required / NO

After that, the request is marked complete for the institution. Other contacted parents are treated as superseded — the school may show something like Completed by another recipient.

If you open a Yes/No or Create Action Plan link after someone else already responded, AllergyAIDE may tell you the request was already completed. You will not be able to link a different profile or share for that same request.

  1. Talk with the other parent outside AllergyAIDE.
  2. Ask the school or camp to reopen the request if a decline or early response was a mistake.
  3. After reopen, the family that should complete the plan responds first with the correct email on file.
  4. Optionally invite the other guardian to your account so you collaborate on one set of profiles going forward.
